One of the most highly regarded and acclaimed films ever made, SEX WORLD is a
lavishly produced adult film with superb production values and an interesting premise.
People come to SEX WORLD, sort of an exclusive resort that caters to providing guests
with whatever their sexual hearts desire. The people on this trip have a variety of problems
ranging from troubled marriages to insecurity. They spend three days and nights at the
place and some are realistically apprehensive about what will occur.
From top to bottom, the cast is full of attractive major performers and the sex scenes
more than live up to their billing. An interesting cross cutting style of editing was employed,
allowing the viewer to go from one situational happening to another and then back again.
This non-loop approach will cause trouble for the raincoat crowd, but for those who enjoy
excellent filmmaking, it is a welcome relief. One of the pairings includes John Leslie as a
guy who doesn’t like blacks meeting Desiree West and their subsequent scene is among
the three best interracials ever. Others involve Kay Parker and Joey Silvera, lesbian scenes
with Bovee and Clayton and Annette and Cris Cassidy (her first film role) and Amber Hunt’s
three-way fantasy. Maureen Spring has a bit part here but is best remembered for LEGEND
OF LADY BLUE.
But the show stopper features reluctant duckling Sharon Thorpe emerging as a sexual
swan following her encounter with Johnnie Keyes and his ivory necklace. It should be
pointed out that Keyes is black. I’ve always taken for granted that people knew he was the
original black male superstud, but certain things should be pointed out to prejudiced people,
lest they view a film with two great interracial scenes. SEX WORLD has universal appeal
for the sophisticated.
