The promotion for this film is slightly misleading since it is billed as Candy Samples’
first explicit feature. Although best known for her early loops and non- explicit roles, she
did appear in three or four features where she performed explicit sex in the early seventies
— LIBERTY and SEX AS YOU LIKE IT for example. However, it is her first starring role in
an explicit film and is a showcase for her legion of fans. Candy ranks with Marilyn Chambers
as the two biggest household names who made very few films. Over the years, thousands
of eager fans have asked me three questions over and over — are they real? how big are
they? and how old is she really? As long as the public keeps wondering, they will keep
interested.
This slice of erotica was directed by the perfect man for the task of handling Candy’s
starring debut, the easy going Bob Chinn. The cute plot has Candy working for a stroke
book about to be sold. The magazine staff needs Candy to help them keep their jobs. The
whole thing is familiar ‘who admires whom,’ but made more engaging but the sijpporting
cast, including Shanna, Mai Lin and Martina. Real life beau Pat Romano plays Candy’s
elusive love interest. Even though Samples fans will be happy with what they are shown
(strip and romantic scene), others will find that Tanya Lawson steals the film as she taunts
photographer Ron Jeremy Tanya made a bundle of films in a two year span and stole nearly
all of them with her intensity Then she disappeared to concentrate on music — she’s an
accomplished flutist, not just with the skin flute.
