I have always referred to this film as ‘superstar city.’ There are only 8 people in the
cast and each is or was (in cases of retirement) a legitimate adult film superstar. CHARLIE’S
ANGELS become ‘Andy’s Angels’ as they attempt to break-up Jamie Gillis’ white slavery
ring. Angel Abigail has been captured, thus infiltrating the gang, headed by Gillis and assisted
by Amber Hunt and the inept John Leslie. That is the premise and the plot consists of Bovee
and Haven to the rescue.
Sex scenes alternate between intense and tender. Gillis is at his best with the nearly
brainwashed Abigail, and with Susan McBain, who has finished her indoctrination and is
ready for shipping. John Leslie, as the dull thug whose ‘brains are in his crotch and they
work overtime,’ has an interesting knife reversal scene with Bovee, a Leslie meets Leslie
encounter. The obligatory lesbian scene with the three angel superstars is good but fans
probably expect more. Much of the outdoor footage takes place in snowy mountain country
and is a welcome relief from the adult film norm of seemingly always being in someone’s
bedroom. The film is now regarded as a classic, due in large part to its cast, and is a worthy
addition to any tape library — however it is far from an exceptional porn film.
