Subtitled “A New Beginning,” Devil In Miss Jones III, filmmaker Gregory Dark’s ruthless vision of hell-a place where the walls seem to ooze pus, and whose sexcrazed inhabitants can touch but not feel-is really a remake of, rather than a sequel to, the 1972 Gerard Damiano classic. Actually, it’s more than a remake. It’s a masterpiece.
Painstakingly crafted, DMJ III is blessed with an outrageously funny script, great performances (Lois Ayres as Miss Jones, Tom Byron as her sleazy boyfriend and the sensational Jack Baker as Negro, Miss Jones’s guide through hell, are particularly remarkable), unrelenting sex and technical values you’d expect from a Hollywood production with ten times the budget. This film is so good, you won’t want it to end.
In this version Justine Jones discovers, in a telephone conversation with him, that her boyfriend is fucking another woman-as they speak. (The montage of images that peppers the screen as she hurls the phone across the room is only one of the cinematic techniques that make this movie so enjoyable.) Hurt and bitter, she dresses to kill, goes to a bar and picks up a forlorn dude (Paul Thomas) who takes her home and fucks her. At the moment of climax Justine cracks her head against the headboard so violently that she fractures her skull. The next thing she knows she’s in the vestibule of hell, trying to convince a gent named Negro, who seems to be in charge of things, that she’s not dead, she’s only dreaming and doesn’t belong there. Negro agrees to lead her out, but since the only way out of hell is through hell, Justine finds herself on a tour of the chambers of the damned.
In the Voyeur Room she watches Marc Wallice fuck succulent Careena Collins, and Amber Lynn take two dicks in her pussy. In the Slut Room Justine, unable to control herself, gets her mouth and cunt boned by two demons (Peter North and Troy Tannier), then observes an old acquaintance (Vanessa Del Rio) being gang-banged by seven studs. This stupendous sequence is the most intense in the film andmay disturb some viewers, but despite Vanessa’s insatiable semen-gobbling, hell, remember, is no picnic.
The film ends in a cliff-hanger: Will Miss Jones fuck the Rockman (heavy-hung Kevin James), who demands sexual favors before letting her continue her journey? Or will she hold on to her integrity and rot in hell? The tantalizing previews of DMJ IV: The Final Outrage suggest that she swallows her pride-and James’s nine inches-and presses on to even more bizarre and shocking adventures.
Brilliantly conceived and directed, DMJ III is one of those rare films that can be watched over and over again. So go to hell with Miss Jones-you won’t regret it.
