John Stagliano is a fuck flick producer/director/writer/actor who takes risks. In Mystic Pieces he daringly accepts snaky Brandy Alexandre’s pointedly long tongue into his hairy, male asshole, an extremely chancy proposition if he ever intends to kiss her again without chomping on his own dingleberries. As if this is not gamble enough, Stagliano next tenses his sphincters for an anal penetration by a chromium-plated dildo handheld by Brandy. The hazards of such activity—electrorectal shock, an embarrassing emergency-room visit to have the wedged fake phallus dislodged, a subsequent conversion to invert sexuality—cannot be minimized. But Stagliano’s most perilous venture is to drag Mystic Pieces out to the two-hour mark, a sucker bet that he hedges with the odds-busting boning of a pre-boobjob Tori Welles. Welles appears first as an appetizer, tempting and teasing Tom Byron and Britt Morgan in the back of a moving limo, delivering her poonful promise to the pair in an office orifice stuff, and finally out-butching three spurting studs simultaneously. There’s nothing mystic about the success of great pieces.
