Kay Parker was raised in England. In the mid-seventies she moved to
Southern California to pursue a career in acting. In 1975 she met John
Leslie, and he introduced her to the world of erotic entertainment. She
performed her first sex role in 1976 when she appeared in the film classic
Sexworld.
Kay appeared in over fifty films in her acting career. But she truly gained
superstar status when she played the starring role in the original 1980 cult
classic Taboo. To this day Taboo is a top ten video seller.
She was one of the most respected women in erotic entertainment to this
day. She was a recipient of countless industry awards including Best
Supporting Actress, and was the winner of the 1985 XRCO (X-Rated
Critics Organization) Class Act Award for outstanding achievement as an
adult industry ambassador. In 1990 she was inducted into the XRCO Hall
Of Fame, for significant contributions in the erotic film field, and was
recently inducted into the Las Vegas Pom Hall Of Fame.
After her on-screen career ended, Kay was still very much involved in the field of sexuality.
She was the hostess, co-writer and director of Adam & Eve’s Tantric Guide to Sexual
Potency video and book. Kay was a Holistic counselor, and had an ongoing
lecture series titled “The Marriage of Sensuality and Spirituality”.
Kay also lectured at universities and colleges concerning the subject of the
erotic movie industry, and her special message of Love, Passion and
Personal Empowerment.
Kay Parker died in Los Angeles on October 14, 2022, at the age of 78.
